bahf
Nmanning is selling a 1800 Crossflow with a Raceco silencer giving 94dB. I noticed that the inlet to the silencer is not central. Do anyone know what the internals look like?
Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted May 16, 2023 Leadership Team Share Posted May 16, 2023 Mike Riley (RaceCo) hand makes the silencers so they can be customised to the car. My 1700 Xflow has a Raceco silencer he made for me, and the inlet is similarly offset. I'm not quite sure what information you need but the internals are effectively a perforated pipe that runs the length of the silencer around which is welded a metal gauze and around that, the silencer packing material. Since fitting my Raceco silencer 15+ years ago, I've never had a noise issue at any of the tracks we've been to.
ECR
I guess itll be the same as my VX which is offset. A perforated tube covered by fine stainless mesh. Packing of course
