Videocameraman
Newbie question and have trawled site for answers without success, sorry. Recently bought a 2006 RoadSport SV with185/60/R14 tyres. Due to their age these need replaced (DOT 1906). I know it's subjective but looking for suggestions for a road tyre (not track) for this car on these rims. Wrightpayne
Sure I posted on this thread??Anyway, lots use Uniroyal Rainsport / Rainexperts which is a 'normal' tyre. For something stickier lots use Toyo R888s which are brilliant in the dry, OK in the damp with careful application of throttle. Caution in standing water. JP
I have A021s on mine, but they are old and I believe that the newer ones may not be for road use any more?
Colin Cooper
Another thumbs up for the Uniroyal Rain Expert 5.Col
Scotland North AR
Another seconder for the Uniroyal Rainsports/Rainexperts. Have used them for years on my 2009 Roadsport SV in mixed Scottish weather. Done lots of multi-day touring where normally one day is going to be wet. Definitely a life saver when there's lots of standing water, not slow in the dry either. I don't track the car so not seeking ultimate grip.
