Member Jonathan Kay Posted April 18, 2023 Member Share Posted April 18, 2023 It's often called kangaroo or, as an ironic joke, kangaroo petrol.Previous discussions... and there's a long list of possible causes including cable runs, sensor problems and engine maps.Jonathan
ChrisC
I believe Team Leos is in Suffolk, near the Essex boarder. They will be able to sort the suspension and also find the reason for the running issue.
Dave Hardcastle
If the car was OK when you put it in the garage I'd suggest that either the throttle pedal has become stiff, or the car needs a good blow out and some fresh petrol.
ScottR400D
Team Leos (Luke Stevens) are at Fordham just North of Newmarket. He's well known amongst Carrotlanders, many of us have used him for simple to very major jobs. Never heard a bad word. An R400 is easy to get kangarooing, especially with a 6 speed and in lower gears and on bumpy roads. It takes a bit of practice; I have a piece of emery cloth on the inner skin to push the side of my foot onto and stop it moving when I hit a bump. It's helped me a lot which suggests to me that half of the issue was with my foot!
