Terry Field
I had to use the wipers for the first time in anger this morning and noticed that the near side blade was slightly bent where it pivots at the joint with the arm. It was also catching both the bottom and top of the screen (S3) at the extremes of the sweep. On measuring both arms, the drivers side was 17.5cm and the passenger side was 18.5cm. Cutting down the longer one to 17.5 seems to have done the trick and it is no longer hitting the frame.Which got me to wondering how long a replacement Caterham blade is, and whether it is normal to have to cut them down? Member Jonathan Kay Posted February 20, 2023 Member Share Posted February 20, 2023 Yes, it's often necessary to cut them down.As I discovered after removing the finish on the top face of the frame.Jonathan
John Vine
CC say their blade (30V017A) is 19cm (7.5") long. I got mine from here (10"). And yes, they need to be trimmed to fit.JV
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted February 20, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted February 20, 2023 Yes, I found my wiper blades were over long the first time I needed to use the half-hood.

eric
In fact, you need to order the 2 new wiper arms as they will fit the 2 new wiper blades ( 19 cm ) instead of one 17 cm and the other 19 cm .
