L66TEY
Does anyone know where a Carbon Bellhousing like the one in this Caterham, can be sourced from?Or does someone have contact details for Tony Bennett?
Wrightpayne
I found this advert for the car - reading the blurb looks like Team Leos worked on the car - they may know...https://racecarsdirect.com/Advert/Details/133676/caterham-24-litre-r300
Ralph45
Chris I've just had a look at that link Ian has given and it says Reverie compact carbon fibre bell housing so I would make that my first port of call.
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted February 19, 2023 Area Representative Share Posted February 19, 2023 Crikey. That looks like one expensive bellhousing.
Chris SSR400
"Reverie Carbon Fibre Compact Bell-Housing"Speak to Reverie? Sorry for the repetitive answer. Above replied quicker than me
L66TEY
Hi Gents,Already checked with Reverie and Luke Stevens. Transpires that Reverie didn't make the Bellhousing, they repaired it at one point. And whilst Luke worked on the car they didn't supply the Bellhousing. Seems the best hope is trying to get in touch with Tony Bennett??
rj
Just polish the one you have and pull a glass mould ;-)
7 wonders of the world
Compact version requires new flywheel, clutch and starter motor too. but does remove the step to the Raceline DS pan.Be interesting to see the weight compared to an Ally version, for the money there are better weight / rotational mass savings to be made
L66TEY
So it transpires that Reverie were behind the Bellhousing, by means of them having laminated it. Albeit the mould does not belong to Reverie. The hunt is now on for the mould.
