CtrMint
Hi, Just looking to get some rear pads in as I believe the rear pads on the 620 wear pretty quickly and I've plenty of track days booked this year, Any pad recommendations ? Thanks
aerobod - near CYYC
I've used the Ferodo DS2500 for track days on the R400D, Mark, and prefer them to the standard Caterham LP507CC rear pads. They do have more bite when hot, but I don't experience premature rear wheel lockup at any time in combination with the standard Caterham 4-pot AP front pads. I bought mine from Demon Tweeks last time, should be Ferodo FCP408H for the standard single sliding piston rear calipers: https://www.demon-tweeks.com/ferodo-ds2500-brake-pads-ferfcp408h/https://www.ferodoracing.com/ecat/code/car-racing/brake-pads/FCP408
KnifeySpoony
I'd just plan to replace them frequently - it's just a function of the solid disc and heat. Going to the vented rears will make your pads (and rotors) last forever apparently.

CtrMint
Hmm, any recommendations on a vented disc?
KnifeySpoony
CC sells the uprated race-style rear rotors and 2 pot calipers. This sacrifices the handbrake, so you would need to find a solution for that if you needed one.
7 wonders of the world
whats in the front Mark..?Although in different calipers, with very similar hyd ratios I run DS3000 all round, very consistent
CtrMint
Not sure what's in the front, it's the original pad from factory.I don't want to remove my handbrake, sounds like I need to stick with the default pad combo and suck up the costs. 7 wonders of the world
you don't have to stick with the standard set up, CC pads are R90 compliant, so they will naturally be limited with ones which meet this criteria.Mintex 1144 1155 and Ferodo DS2500 & DS3000 are all available in front and rear fitting,
