M17 CAH
My 1997 1.6 K Series has recently failed the MOT with a worn offside track rod end. The nearside was still in perfect condition. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? When I removed the rubber dust cover the ball appeared properly greased and there was no evidence of rust. The car has done 11000 miles and a few track days. Anyone have any ideas.
CHRIS CLARK
Just one of those things! Cheap and easy to replace. Although the other side appears in good condition, it has done the same amount of work as the other one so replace them as a pair. I use the rubber boots from the track rods ends (spare ones!) as covers for the adjusting nuts, Good Luckthumbsup.gif
CHRIS CLARK
Drunk again! I meant the covers from the anti roll bar as trackrod nut covers---Dur!
