JP
I'm removing the gaiters from these and refilling with grease. I have the old tin can drive shafts and having read some old posts on BlatChat (and the fact that I currently have intact DS gaiters), I'm just going to slip these back and re-grease rather than replace the gaiters...don't fancy taking down the drive shafts and replacing the gaiters unless I have to...Anyway, recommendations for the correct grease welcomed please. SM25T
You can order cartridges of GKN drive shaft UJ grease on line.
JP
Thank you - same for the steering rack / track rod joints?
Wrightpayne
I think the rack is lubricated for life. That said I treated mine to a mix of LM and EP90 gear oil when I changed the gaitors - it was semi liquid grease.
SM25T
I did the same for my rack. Oil in the hole for the preload screw, and grease externally on the rack teeth, round from lock to lock.

7 wonders of the world
Firstly and importantly you need to identify which joints you have the the driveshaft, Tripode joints need specific GKN Tripode grease, normal CV joints use CV moly grease. Most importantly if you have nipples grease the propshaft too ! JP
Cheers. I've got the older tin can type joints. I'll check the prop too - thanks.
