Wilts North AR
Good idea get rid of that weight! It is just a matter of joining up the smaller bore flexi hose at the rear of the engine that contains the submarine connection incorporating the T stat. You may well require a suitable length of hose to accomplish this. You will also require a suitable sized piece of 18 gauge aluminium to cover the hole.Apologies for the orientation. They were the right way up originally!

Member Jonathan Kay Posted December 18, 2022 Member Share Posted December 18, 2022 I'm sure that I've seen it, but my first search of the archives didn't find anything.JonathanPS: It might have been one of those wonderful threads that starts with cost per unit avoided mass and ends with dietary advice. : - )

Area Representative Geoff Brown Posted December 18, 2022 Area Representative Share Posted December 18, 2022 Thoughts on sighting the washer bottle where the heater was.I recollect that one of my area members did just what is proposed attaching the bracket to the 18g skin. After a matter of a year the skin started to crack & fail.Remember that unless the bottom of the bottle is resting on the 'shelf' then depending on how full it is the 18g skin will have to support any where between a half & one Kilo weight of water. Subtle chassis harmonics will aid cracking. So a reinforcement patch for the bracket is recommended.
7Up
Thanks it's one of those spec decisions I wish with hindsight I had not ticked. Never used! Just like the full hood..... brand new, never used in 4 years
