Jonathan Kay
Mechanical drive from the gearbox?I'd fit an original. And change the gear to make it accurate, or add new markings on the glass with Letraset at 30, 50 and 70 mph using GPS to calibrate. But it's also possible to add a 'phone or satnav...Jonathan

Andy Doughty
I got hacked off with various instruments failing and out of calibration on my 1996 car. The speedo was never correct despite sending off for re calibration when it packed up. The tachometer failed for the second time and that was enough.I bit the bullet ( and wallet!) and binned the lot and fitted a complete set of Stack gauges.ahh the pleasure of knowing the Speedo is bang on after setting it up, the oil pressure is correct etc etc.the fuel gauge calibration is not perfect but I guess if I put in a new tank sensor I could sort it. They look modern and great in the dark. And club discount available. good luck
