Spark plug condition

Just removed the spark plugs from my Duratec and plug no.1 is rusty. Obviously water has got trapped there but of more concern is the state of the thread. Looks like some debris could easily have dropped  into the head on removal of the plug. Should I be worried?

 
The other plug threads were quite oily- is that normal? Not seen it before.

I would say there shouldn't be a problem, but any debris would have dropped straight down, so a wooden dowel with painters tape or similar wrapped sticky side out could be used to dab on the top of the piston to collect any particles. Keep the tape long up the dowel to avoid loosing the end inside the cylinder if it comes off the dowel.

I've used one of these to clean the thread in the head if that's of concern...the gunk gets trapped in the vertical slot

push a length of 6mm tube up the hoover nozzle and tape the gap you can then hoover the piston and surrounding area.

Second the hoover recommendation. Other models of vacuum cleaner are acceptable.

When I change the plugs on the K I undo them all a little bit then blast out with the compressor air line to shift any debris

Great tips, thanks everyone, I'll press the Henry into action. I did shine a torch down there and couldn't see any debris on the piston and the threads look pretty clean so looks like most of it came out with the plug.
