K200CSR
Can anyone confirm if the Caterham Parts STARTER MOTOR DURATEC ENGINE will work on a Cosworth 2.3 Duratec in a 2007 CSR200?Does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement as mine has started being intermittent. I think it's the solenoid unit but I'm not 100%?Cheers

K200CSR
Hi Jonathan,Thank you for the pointer but no starter motor specifics on any of the documents.Anyone else any ideas?
Jonathan Kay
How about seeing if it can be repaired? This is often possible and you'll be sure that both the electrical connections and the brackets will fit afterwards!Jonathan
John Vine
I have these Cosworth Duratec docs in my files:CSR260 Build Manual Cosworth Performance Parts Ford Duratech (sic) Duratec Components Catalog 2009According to these, it appears that the starter Cosworth use (p/n PR6783) is the standard Ford part fitted to all Duratecs (2.0L and 2.3L). So, I'd say the answer to your query is "yes". But to be sure, a call to CC Parts would be a good idea.PS: If you'd like copies of these three docs, send me your email address. and I'll pass them on.JV
