It's like saying 'PIN Number' or 'My weight is 75kg' or 'My English is incorrectable' or not bothering to use the subjunctive correctly or or or Why is everyone staring at me like I'm mad? Come back! But I'm used to imperial for torque. hadn't realised that lbf meant pounds of force though. you learn something everyday... Morls Posted April 4, 2003 Share Posted April 4, 2003 I've never trusted torque settings since, as a yung'un, I couldnt afford a torque wrench, so to get the required 40 ftlb (or whatever) I worked out my weight (significantly less back then) over the length of the 1/2" drive 'T' bar needed, then stood on it. He smashed two of them before he recalculated his calculations.
