heptagon
I finally got around to fitting the captive nuts for my S3 Aeroscreen but found the passenger side kit is fouling this existing plate which seems to be fitted to the chassis, any ideas?
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 5, 2022 Leadership Team Share Posted May 5, 2022 You need to remove the existing steel channel to replace it with the captive nut bracket, same for the driver's side.
heptagon
Sorry I meant the black plate sitting above the rear screen nut in the photo
Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted May 5, 2022 Leadership Team Share Posted May 5, 2022 Ah, I see. Is that not the mounting plate for the wiper assembly? There should be some scope to wriggle it around a little when the mountings are loosened and re-tighten after fitting the captive nut bracket. heptagon
Yes it's the wiper assembly, I'll try loosening the mounts to see if I can move it a little
GerardB
I found it impossible to fit the new brackets so used a dremel to turn the bottom holes into slots.Put the brackets on forward of the wiper assembly and slide back into place!Gerard
