Doc007
After my little electrical fire (it turned out to be a short caused by the loom rubbing on the immobiliser) I'm keen to get a fire extinguisher. I'm wanting a small, probably foam, extinguisher to keep within easy reach in the cabin. Not plumbed-in. Does anyone have a recommendation for one, preferably with a mounting bracket, that won't take up too much room or be too much on display for prying eyes. I was thinking of the passenger transmission tunnel or right in front of the passenger seat on the floor.
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted May 1, 2022 Area Representative Share Posted May 1, 2022 Have a look at Firestick. They were demonstrating at Stoneleigh kit car show and had an offer of £65 for their 50 second version (normal price is £74). They remain usable for up to 15 years and we're very impressive. Coincidentally my brother had been talking about them earlier in the week and I'd never heard or seen them at allNick

David aka Blue7
Yes the mounting bracket is a black plastic clip as shown in the photo below but I just attach velcro to mine and it grips the carpet trim. It operates like a large matchstick ... the force is strong with this one young Skywalker
Drumster
I found the plastic clip on mine to be weak and possibly not secure enough in the 7, so purchased 2 plastic coated metal Terry clips.
StevehS3
I wondered about the clip. You certainly wouldn't want it coming out of the clip on track.
7 wonders of the world
Hmmm............ that's not the 'mounting bracket' I was expecting......many other retailers offer a version that securely mounts to floor, bulkhead or cage - I assumed it would be this one since it's being sold for a 7...... That single 'clip' is an utter waste of time.....
aerobod - near CYYC
This looks like a more secure mount: https://elementfire.com/products/roll-bar-mount

Doc007
Ordered one! I think a couple of terry clips under the front of the passenger seat will be just the ticket.
