Lithium Jump Starter Packs

Does anyone have experience of carrying a less than 1 kg Lithium Jump Starter Pack and which one works best with a Seven? There are a number of suppliers out there (Ring, NOCO, MCS Overlander, Draper + many more). There is a good recent review article on Auto Express here https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product-group-tests/92728/best-mini-jump-starter-packs-2022

Thanks for that review.

There's a few experiences in the archives, but I can't remember anything specifically lightweight. And one ex Member took to carrying one where I would have sorted out the underlying unreliability.

People are generally very happy. There's a feeling that unfamiliar makes from China are better avoided.

NB Club discount at Halfords.

I also have a Volvo XC70 as my daily, so I want a jump starter pack that can handle a 2.5L diesel as well as the small Sigma 1.6L in the Caterham. After reading the Auto Express reviews there are two products they highly rate from Mobile Solar Chargers - a British company. The MSC Overland+ that I am considering is more than you need for a Caterham which is here: https://www.mobilesolarchargers.co.uk/shop/details/overland-plus at £110 + £5 shipping.

If it's just for the Caterham, then the smaller/lighter MSC Overland jump starter which got the number 1,  5 star ranking by Auto Express is here: https://www.mobilesolarchargers.co.uk/shop/details/overland-waterproof-car-jump-starter at £80 + £5 shipping.

MSC, as their name suggests, does a range of solar panel kits for camping and off-grid living.

I have no connection to MSC - I am just sharing what may be of interest to other Seven owners.

A few years ago I bought the Halfords one after a lot of research.  I have an Evoque so went for the one that copes with 2-3 ltr. engines.  I have attached it to the bulkhead of the 7 with velcro and it is topped up via a usb cable through to a power socket in the cockpit.
