Beagler
Now Ive got your attention. Could do with a little more cushioning in my seats. Any suggestions for upholsterers in northwest area

TomB
OK, they're the S type seat. Was wondering if you had Tillets. They're made by Oxted Trimming, so it might be worth contacting them to see if they make something more bespoke to your posterior
Member Jonathan Kay Posted March 28, 2022 Member Share Posted March 28, 2022 SNAP!They're not in the northwest but Thundersport/ Oxted know these inside out, have a high reputation, and offer a Club discount.https://www.thundersport.co.uk/services/ https://www.caterhamlotus7.club/membership/special-offers-members/thundersportJonathan

Youds7
Any decent coach trimmer should be able to do something for you. Must be loads in the NW.Just a thought, have you tried swapping the drivers seat squab for the passenger one? It could be that the drivers one has had a lot more use and the foam is tired? If you find that better see if Qxted would supply you with a new foam, you could get it replaced locally or even do it yourself. I've not done a 7 but have done a few MGB seats. Beagler
Thanks Youd7. Good suggestion. Have found a local upholsterer. He wants to come and have a look on Monday. He sounds promising after explaining what I want.
Beagler
Got a seat back from upholsterer to try before he did the other. Have to say very pleased with the result the seat fits and is very comfy well worth the mod.
Sooty
If you get refoamed, the leather looks ok you can specify extra layer of extra scrum but don't go wild as the leather has to stretch over only extra depth. Also when the leather cover is off give it a good clean and recognition with something like Gliptone leather cleaner and reconditioned which will make it feel sort and luxurious
