AntonyH
Sooooooooo... our crank is toast, seemingly, so, need a new 1800 K-series big wobbly spinny thing.Talking to the nice man at Retro Sportscars who found this out (and is looking for a crank...) he mentioned the very simple way to make the stock 1800 produce more power is to do a VVC conversion or, even more simply, swap it for a full VVC engine. I realise this is a very very long shot indeed, so for the moment let's just stick with, anyone got a good-condition 1800 crank available?

Roger Ford
One on eBay for £500. "Just rebuilt" though why they didn't clean the head cover while they were rebuilding it I'm not sure.Remember you'll need to swap your sump, bell housing and possibly starter motor and alternator if sourcing a non-Caterham engine. Pete - W.Sussex
We've got a used 1800 crank that might do the job. It is out of an MGTF 160. We are in W.Sussex just south of Horsham.
