ScottR400D
#25 I'd agree. The cars are poorly endowed with safety features as it is, the last thing to be doing is removing one. How do insurers view that?
John Vine
I believe some racers move the switch inside the cockpit so that it can be reset in flight. I'd much rather do that than disable the switch altogether. They can be quite sensitive, though. My switch tripped during a French tour when I (gently) hit a ramp in the tarmac at the start of some roadworks. But had I not realised what had happened and what to do about it, I'd have been stuck waiting for the recovery folks.JV
Rex
I would rather have it connected if it would work as intended. It took me years before I had had enough of it malfunctioning.
Beagler
Just replace the switch with a new one.
Rex
Forgot to say that my car is already equipped with a master switch
Wrightpayne
Rexmaster switch requires manual intervention. I'd buy a new inertia switch and refit it! just my 0.02p worth!Ian

Very useful when I have one of my regular excursions on to the lesser used parts of a track!

Dave connors
I have an ex race car and wanted to re instate the inertia switch I have searched high and low for the original connector under the bonnet and under the dash is it likely to be anywhere else I can't think they would remove it completely
