Terry Field
Just back from the Haynes blat, and after 80 miles the instruments are still clouded with condensation. I have had this with previous cars but it seems to be worse on the current car ('99 k series)What is the current thinking? Is drilling a v small hole in the casing effective, or are there other ideas?I should add that the car is kept in a well ventilated but cold garage, with a small oil heater to protect against frost. Member Jonathan Kay Posted January 30, 2022 Member Share Posted January 30, 2022 Usual recommendation is a slot cut by a hacksaw or a disc on a Dremel. (Other brands are available.)Club Guide.Jonathan
colindavies56
There is a hole already drilled into the body.
OldAndrewE
What do you mean by a small oil heater - an oil filled radiator or something burning fuel?
Terry Field
It is an oil filled rad, no naked flames!
Terry Field
The club guide mentions increased wattage bulbs to help clear the condensation. What wattage is recommended?
Member Jonathan Kay Posted February 2, 2022 Member Share Posted February 2, 2022 I listed the factory bulbs once, but it was in a discussion of decreasing the power by migrating to LEDs! I'll try and find it.Jonathan

Terry Field
Before I let myself loose with the Dremel or similar,I was going to try increased wattage bulbs. On checking, I already have the T4W bulbs. Is it feasible to go with any higher wattage, and are they available?
Terry Field
Just found some OSRAM bulbs on Amazon. BA9s T5W. Will give it a go.
