Leadership Team SLR No.77 Posted September 8, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted September 8, 2021 Caterham Fuse Labels.pdfI discovered recently that the fuse labels on the relay stack on my 1999 SLR had dried out badly and fallen off! Originally these labels were one long sticker but over time had broken into 5 individual stickers, I've now carefully recreated the sticker in a Word document and it's attached Caterham Fuse Labels_0.pdfin pdf format. If anyone wants a copy of the original Word document, your fuses might be in a different order, let me know and i can mail it to you.Stu.(edited: link not working on pc so image of pdf attached at the bottom, link works fine on my phone!) Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 8, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted September 8, 2021 Well done Stu. I wonder in what order my fuses are? It is something I really ought to know.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted September 8, 2021 Member Share Posted September 8, 2021 Nice work. The first image comes out at high resolution. I think that the last might have been compressed in the shortcut upload. If anyone needs the layout of fuses and/or relays for their car please let me know. There are some surprising variations, and one layout isn't documented... but was sorted by the collective power of BlatChat.Jonathan
ChrisC
An alternative I use is LED fuses, a simple idea but a brilliant one for the seven. If a fuse blows it will light up, that way if your horn isn't working the fuse lit up is your horn fuse.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted September 8, 2021 Member Share Posted September 8, 2021 Lighting up on failure is brilliant(!).You can also get resettable circuit breakers in the same form factor as Seven fuses. And piggyback fuses can be a neat way of adding circuits.Jonathan
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 8, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted September 8, 2021 ChrisC - that's brilliant. Worth loking out for that.I must find a supply!Even Halfords stock them - club discount time (because going there is easy). Also available from EuroCarParts and no doubt other locations.
