Neanderthal
Once we get past all the jokes (which I would enjoy) any ideas on this. I like getting out 7ish on weekend mornings but want to try and not wake the neighbourhood or the Mrs! Thought about pushing it up the road but it's an incline so not really doable. Cheers for any input.
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted September 5, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted September 5, 2021 No. I don't think so, I certainly can't. Just make sure your neighbours like you for everything else you do and they will accept it (or mine do). Obviously I don't rev it more than absolutely neccesary, until clear of the road. Leadership Team Andrew 21 Edney Posted September 5, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted September 5, 2021 I recall issues with trying to use a light throttle on a freshly-started X-Flow (lots of hiccups, not very smooth to pull away) - it was much happier with being given a bit of gas...Of course, once the engine was warmed up, giving it a bit more gas was fun (especially as the rubbish Goodyear Eagle tyres offered virtually no resistance to wheelspin).Sorry, only advice I can give is to swap to a K series if you want a quiet starting car
Wrightpayne
Our neighbour's son works on a farm, leaves at 05:00 and drives an Astra VXR with aftermarket exhaust!Perhaps mention to them you'll be leaving early but don't worry!
Molecular--Bob
An engine preheater/block warmer may help? You will be starting a warm engine so get away from all of that trying to keep it running till warm
Sooty
Xfs do not start quietly. Start up in the garage with door shut and hope you can open it before you choke!!! Make sure you have fresh petrol in the cards by starting the night before and keep everything crossed
DougBaker
Don't start the car inside a closed garage. Just relax and assume that double glazing will mean nobody hears you anyway.
