Andy Mac
Guys. Maybe a slightly odd question. I am changing my diff out to an alternative LSD and wondered if there's any value in the Titan unit.I believe it is original with original plates, so I suspect it's ready for new plates. Done 6.5K miles. If you are interested, please let me know.

Dave Hardcastle
Heptagon, I 'think' Andy Mac is asking if it's worth selling a Titan unit being removed.Andy Mac, I know James (shortshift) has just sold one on here.
Andy Mac
Cheers Guys.I think I might be going down the fitting sintered discs route and having the diff set up correctly. Maybe a slight re-alignment and crown wheel and pinion adjustment will solve my noise issues.
ChrisC
Andy, consider using RRT oil, once you've had your rebuild. It also helps with noise.
heptagon
RRT rebuilt my LSD and it's got their oil in it
Nigel B
What sort of noise are you getting from the diff Andy? I had problems with an incorrectly set up crown wheel & pinion in my last Seven. The noise it was making was what I can only describe as a whine that smoothly changed in volume & pitch as your speed increased or decreased. Road & Race adjusted the CW&P & I had no further problems.
Andy Mac
Hi, I get a constant whine and a little chatter. The overrun is really loud and the occasional clonk.I think LSD service and then a careful re-alignment will fix most of this. PT Sportscars in Maidenhead will sort it for me I'm sure. Nigel B
That sounds like LSD related noise to me rather than an out of adjustment CW&P. Fitting a Tracsport cured the noise issues on my 420R. I've covered 5500 miles since fitting it & it's no noisier than when it was first fitted.
aerobod - near CYYC
If the noises are happening when the car is travelling in a straight line, it is unlikely to be the LSD, as differential motion is required for the LSD parts to move and there isn't any when travelling straight. Clonking and chatter when turning are almost always the LSD, but whine is either CW&P mesh or bearings.
