VHPD KV6 throttle bodies - vacuum tubes

Hi folks,

Does anyone know where I can source some new vacuum tubes that sit on top of the KV6 TBs found on the early VHPD engines?

Or if you don't know where I can, the actual diameter of the pipes would be helpful as one would hope they're not such a obscure item that they need to be bought from a Caterham specialist!

I've tried Redline - no joy there sadly.

Pic showing offending items - borrowed from the excellent 'K Engine Page' - thanks 'Oily' - hope you don't mind?

Nick, that's probably my car in the photo ... although now running RBTBs!

You can buy an equivalent hose on ebay, just measure the current internal size: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290742298928?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=590074415485&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

I likely have a few sections of the original hoses in my spare parts boxes, are there particular ones you need or are you trying to replace them all?

Stu.

Morning Stu

Thanks for your response - I did wonder if eBay was the route to go!

I'm just looking to replace the ones directly above the TBs as they've started to crack - car is 21 years old this month, so hardly surprising I guess! The one I'm most worried about is the one at the very end which has a bend in it - I'm not sure if you can just bend a straight piece of pipe? Maybe modern silicon pipes would allow this?

Cheers

Nick

The tubes you recommended Stu arrived this morning - fit like a glove and even the bendy bit I was worried about, wasn't an issue.

Thanks for your help - much appreciated. *thumbs_up_thumb*
