PS 420R
Not long had my 420R 19 plate with 3k on the clock. Great but has quite a flat spot early on throttle. Any ideas?
ChrisC
Flat spot or hesitation? Hesitation is known on stock cars, it can be minimised with TPS fine tuning. I understand from fellow owners the RBTB in stock form have a flat spot around 2500 rpm, but I have never driven a 420R with RBTB so can't comment on that. The owner I was speaking to had a custom map to resolve the issue.
timb2117
Had similar on a totally different car, 05, K series but at 5500 rpm.Tracked all the way through things as the reno went on, fuel filters, new fuel pump, tank clean, injectors cleaned and tested, plugs, coil packs, with HT leads, checked for air leaks, and sensors, wiring, eventually a Kmaps new computer (not as tricky or expensive as it sounds) bingo fixed smoother and better all round- although occasionally she's a nightmare to start cold :)! So essentially same as Chris said a new map.Hoping yours is a tad more simple.
