Area Representative Nick Chan Posted May 4, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted May 4, 2021 Does anyone run a cycle speedo in their seven? I have a Sigma BC1600 that has stopped working and wonder if there is a more modern alternative out there. I suppose I'm after a wired version unless the wireless ones are a lot better than ones from a few years ago. Any suitable suggestions?TIA Nick

Nigel Fox
Have a look a gps speedos for cars on eBay. There are lots of options that may be more suitable than a bike one.

John Alston
I use a HOLUX GPS Sport 245 and find it brilliant. No wires or transducers as its GPS and very accurate. A bit difficult to find in the UK now but the are available from overseas.
Area Representative Nick Chan Posted May 5, 2021 Author Area Representative Share Posted May 5, 2021 Thanks for the links and suggestions. The Sigma unit was good as it had a programable odometer so you could retain a total mileage if you changed the battery. I'll have a look at the ones above
andi4eyes
I use a GPS speedo that runs off a battery but I usually keep it plugged in the 12v socket.https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/demon-tweeks-gps-digital-wireless-speedometer-dtmwds-02/I made a bracket that uses two holes in the dashboard that were there from the previous owner and the speedo just clips in:
NS
Hi Nick, I may have an unused Sigma unit but I can't check for a couple of days. If I have you are welcome to it unless you find a better option. Neil
