Paul Oggelsby
Morning all,Just completed a track day and the windscreen wash was pouring out of the nozzles and up the windscreen every time I braked. The nozzle itself looks secure and not happened before, I spent the sunny day with the windscreen wipers on. Anyone have any thoughts on how to resolve please?ThanksPaul
Area Representative Piers300 Posted April 28, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted April 28, 2021 Only ever fill the water bottle to half and this reduces it substantially.
SM25T
Only half fill it .... even that will last over a year. Ours does it as you accelerate

Leadership Team Toughie Posted April 28, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted April 28, 2021 Do you get the same problem blatting, or only on track?
Paul Oggelsby
Thanks all, never had it before track day on Monday, it literally pours out on heavy breaking and tank is only half full. Took it on a blat today and had the same issue, albeit less extreme.
Leadership Team Toughie Posted April 28, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted April 28, 2021 So it would appear that something has changed. How old is your car?

Leadership Team Toughie Posted April 28, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted April 28, 2021 I know I'm not being much help here, but...You say "pouring up the windscreen". Was it pouring as if the washer jets were working, as in a full squirt, or as if the water pressure of a full bottle under heavy breaking was pushing it out?And what happens if you operate the wash function, does that still work as normal? Paul Oggelsby
Pouring as in being forced out but I don't think it's through the jets, basically streams up the windscreen at all angles. I suspect I'll have to work out how to take the nozzle off. They work fine if I try and clean the windows using them.
Tazio
Have you got the one way valve fitted?
7 wonders of the world
something like this will allow water flow under pressure from the pump but the spring loaded valve inside will prevent surge discharge.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203355477917?hash=item2f58ee579d:g:8TgAAOSwdDZgfuuz
