Memories of more innocent times

Recommended Posts

Reading the Rhubarb restaurant thread in the grown-up area started me thinking about my favourite TV programmes as a kid. So off the top of my head, and in no particular order:

Roobard and Custard

Bod

Oscar

Pipkins

Trumpton

Camberwick Green

Chorlton and the Wheelies

The Flumps

The Clangers

Ludwig

I'm sure that more will come to mind as the day wears on. Ah, happy days ....

Ah yes, Chigley - with Trumpton and Camberwick Green, made up the Holy Trinity.

Take Hart

Vision On (like the cool version of Take Hart)

Why Don't You?

Swap Shop (hated all the presenters, but a great show. First time I saw both Bow Wow Wow and Toyah was on Swap Shop ... made a big impression on a young lad)

Top Cat (later mysteriously changed to Boss Cat)

Fingerbob

Mick Robertson, I do believe - I also hated him, there was something very smug about his face.

He he.... it was my Rhubarb thread, so anyone can post whatever they like on there!!!

Missed the Rhubarb festival - it was in February... but I've got Jamie & The Magic Torch and Chorlton & The Wheelies on DVD! And especially to wind up Noger - the Best of Bow Wow Wow CD 😬

noger - you need to plug the output of your record player (two phono plugs i guess - one red, one white) into your soundcard on the PC (one 3mm stereo jack - dixons etc will have the correct lead).

Then load "sound recorder" (should be in accessories) and press record.

play the record

it should record it.

then either send me the file (it'll be big - about 10 MB a minute) or mp3 it and send that (1 MB a minute)

does that make sense 🤔 *confused*
