Leadership Team Shortshift Posted March 21, 2021 Leadership Team Share Posted March 21, 2021 I have decided to change the oil in the Quaife 6-speed sequential (60G) fitted to my Duratec R500 but I'm not sure where the fill point is. Googling doesn't seem to throw up any answers; it's clearly a closely guarded secret. Can anyone give advice on where the fill point is located (I'm hoping I can access it easily), and any tips for the best way to refill? Thanks, James
7 wonders of the world
ISTR the 60G is in a similar place to the T9 box on the left hand side normally perfectly aligned with a chassis tube to 'aid' access
Leadership Team Shortshift Posted March 22, 2021 Author Leadership Team Share Posted March 22, 2021 Yes, looks like I've found it. It is located on the LHS of the box (looking forwards) so on the 'wrong' side to be accessed through the aperture/rubber bung in the transmission tunnel panelwork but it looks as though it is just about accessible from underneath.(View from underneath, looking upwards/slightly rearwards with chassis rail/tunnel side to RHS of image)James
Doctor
That look tight. At least it is a proper bolt head.

Wrightpayne
Top tip - make sure you can undo the filler plug before removing the drain plug.
Leadership Team Shortshift Posted March 22, 2021 Author Leadership Team Share Posted March 22, 2021 Thanks Ian - have already done that (cos it would make a wonderful "dooohhhh" moment otherwise!).James
