7 wonders of the world
You also need to factor in the lateral angular misalignment that occurs when the final drive isn't correctly shimmed and centred or the tailhousng is pushed over to clear the tunnel.Either way the angles involved on Dedion cars are far less than those on live axle cars running similar 1 piece props. ScottR400D
#26 7W, you're right, the lateral alignment is just as important as the vertical, which CC seem to acknowledge in their build manuals but, whatever the errors are they generally seem to be within the capabilities of the prop joints. To get back on topic, if the engines could be tilted forward a little with a different gearbox mount it would help with hood clearance (which is why the Duratec tilts in the first place) as long as it doesn't stress the engine mounts, exhaust etc, and is unlikely to make the prop alignment any worse, quite possibly the opposite. 7 wonders of the world
I used the Raceline mounts and bellhousing which sits the engine 25mm further back, ok if your on a rebuild as this does mean a shorter 1st motion shaft and repositioning exhaust etc etc.
