Dan The Man
Evening all,Can anyone tell me what setting to select on my battery charger for a Banner battery? All the label says is:530 034 030 12v 30Ah 300Aits obviously not a stop/start one, but it has the option for cold start and AGM too.will post pic if needed...thanks, Dan
Area Representative Piers300 Posted February 25, 2021 Area Representative Share Posted February 25, 2021 The Banner battery above is a standard lead acid cell battery. What battery charger make and model do you have ? What do the instructions say ?I use a fully automatic constant potential CTEK charger which is rated at 1.8 amps. It can be left connected 24/7. They also do a 5 amp version. Piers
Dan The Man
As you can see it is set to "normal" 12v. I don't have the instructions with me!
Member Jonathan Kay Posted February 25, 2021 Member Share Posted February 25, 2021 "Overview" instructionsI'd use the "Small 12V Mode", not "Cold/AGM", not "Lithium".JonathanPS: Do you already have an accessory power socket?
Roadsport06
As per JK's reply. If you set it to AGM/cold it will charge with a higher voltage and could result in more fluid evaporating from the battery. Charging through an accessory socket makes life easier. No need to take off the bonnet.

Dan The Man
When you say accessory socket, you mean like a cigarette lighter / 12v socket?
Roadsport06
Yes, that's the one. The CTEC and optimate battery conditioners have the option to plug it in through there. If you've fitted an accessory socket and the noco has an accessory socket plug it makes life easier.https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004LWWNI0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_H4T9BMVVVXPR55VK3MN4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=
