Englishmaninwales
CC tell me that they only ever supplied this engine mount in their dry sump kit for all Rover engineshttps://caterhamparts.co.uk/engine-mounts/1487-engine-mounting-bracket-rh-rover-dry-sump.html?search_query=Rover+dry+sump&results=293The VVC non dry sump RHS engine mount is modified to allow for a taller engine. Will the 'one size fits all' in the link above suit a VVC dry sump installation, or require modification to the height?ThanksMalcolm
simon_h
I got a specific vvc one from arch so the vvc type plenum would fit under the bonnet so such a thing exists. Albeit at a price.Turned out the one I had was almost the same anyway and I still had to trim and adjust to get everything to miss everything else
Englishmaninwales
Ok thanks, Simon. Also I've just been told that that the VVC was never specified with a dry sump, so that explains why CC didn't supply a specific one.
2cv7
I have a dry sump and an alloy plenum. Just add a couple of washers to the passenger engine mount and it fits....just.
simon_h
Yes as far as I know that was never officially available. I guess arch did the mount themselves at some point for someone. Hence I was allowed to direct purchase
