Alan Reeves Posted February 17, 2021 Share Posted February 17, 2021 With 13 inch wheels it appears that they all get scratched inside due to little stones etc getting caught between the inner wheel rim and the Ears .Is there a fix to minimise this happening as in taking a grinder to the ear and increase the clearance ?alan Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Could go up to 15' wheels.The only solution is to take a grinder to the rear of the de Dion ear. The weld will determine how much to take off. I left a reasonable land so as not to effect the strength of the joint but the gap is not quite large enough to stop some scratching. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
aerobod - near CYYC Posted February 17, 2021 Share Posted February 17, 2021 If you take the car on track, OPR tends to create a layer of deposited rubber on top of the line that has been scrapped by stones and close the gap to stop all but the tinniest stones getting in there.
