bexxxhill Posted February 5, 2021 Share Posted February 5, 2021 Good morning all. I have a small problem, namely non-functioning wipers. Fuse is good, relay clicks ok, but no movement at all from thje motor. Any tips? I will take the switch out to check for dampness and corrosion but surely if relay clicking when switch used, then switch is good?Any help much appreciated. Wrightpayne Posted February 5, 2021 Share Posted February 5, 2021 There is also a park switch on the wiper motor itself. The motors are a Lucas part similar to the classic mini (and many BL cars). I had one fail on my mini.Another failure point is the intermittent wiper feature. Many owners don't know they have them. Its a black box of electrikery fitted near the wiper motor about 2" by 1 1/2" by 1" deep (if you have one). It has a loom plug in and out and is put 'in-line' to the wiring going to the motor. You can disconnect the two plugs and join the ones on the car loom together to bypass the unit, and test if at fault.Ian Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
