p.mole1
Can anyone tell me what type of fitting would be on my car it's a 1995 model.I need to make up a new line for the front caliper, it is the fitting in the bodywork I'm unsure about. BSP, UNF or metric ?
elie boone
U can reuse the fittings with new olive's and just replace the hose. From memory the chassis side is UNF

aerobod - near CYYC
Olives should never be used on the relatively soft brake pipes, should always be a flare to match the fitting type.
p.mole1
The olives are used in the braided steel flexible brake hoses
7 wonders of the world
The olives deform as the union is tightened, they are only about 40p each anyway.
