NS Posted March 21, 2003 Share Posted March 21, 2003 The quill/square drive has broken in two & one half is jammed in the "housing" (sorry, forgotten correct description) on the gearbox. ☹️ So far have been unable to remove the circlip that retains the "housing" due to lack of space, and cannot remove the broken quill with angled pliers. According to the Caterham parts CD the part number is:- 6011058 Speedo Gear 3.92:1 Axle Ratio (86 onwards) at £10.69 The one that is fitted is black in colour. I recall that the one fitted in my six speed(with 3.62 diff) is brown in colour. Caterham quote:- 70048 Speedo Gear 3.62:1 Axle Ratio (86 onwards) at £11.28 Are these standard Ford parts and, if so, what are the Ford part numbers?
