Wrightpayne
On the initial rev increase there seemed to be a stutter / hesitation - was there a reason for that? Perhaps how throttle was applied? What revs did it max out at? Sounds glorious!!Ian
Tazio
Hmm, that sounds surprisingly familiar....
Paul Gibb
Roger I like the video so much I couldn't keep it to myself!Although Swindon no longer support these engines several of the SRE guys from the glory days of the BTCC are still building race engines with Paul Broadway at Ridgeway. There is a signed picture of James Thompson's Cavalier in the workshop and I was so pleased to have Malcolm Wilcock's with his years of experience rebuild the engine. Re the stutter Ian I guess that was related to throttle application but a rolling road session will be required following reinstallation and the mapping is done by Steve Hurst who has a very long association with SRE.Alan I look forward to completing the rebuild and seeing you in the Spring still remembering the hair raising test drive all those years ago and the glorious noise that accompanied it! Best wishes to you all.
