Tyrone
Marc, John Watson's series 1 is featured in this month's 'Classics' magazine. Photographs of the restoration show the car shod with Cosmic wheels when John acquired it. Just a thought.

Tyrone
Mark 1, Sorry to pinch your thread for a while. Mark 2, I met one of the NE7's at last years BTCC at Croft. To be honest, I've never been able to find the pub they meet in. Poor excuse. Car is nearing re-build following work which started out as non essential and turned into semi major engine re-build. Don't ask. Suffice to say trip to Whitby is a definite. My brother is talking about a coast to coast in the Summer. Send me your details via email. Like the shots, assume yours is the all BRG. Cheers Brian Mark, reviewed the web site properly. The guy I met was from the Durham club and not asscoiated with you guys. I will register on the site tonight at home and look forward to meeting you all. Edited by - tyrone on 26 Mar 2003 13:21:

J.R.
Mark. I have some 70's alloy rims that were fitted to my first 7 I am fairly sure that they are cosmic but they carry no markings. They are 5.5 J * 13" and are ford stud pattern. They are NOT the cosmic rims that I recall fitted to escorts etc with the black painted spokes with alloy exposed on the ground edges. They are alloys in a similar "genre" to the wolfrace wheel of the period but with radiused curves rather than flat faces. also with triangular holes rather than the square slots of wolfrace. Not a very good description I know but does this sound like what you want? I have never seen another set of these but lots of people comment "my car had these in the 70's!. chrisb
Hi, Having read some of the descriptions, I might know where some are. Live axle Ital fitment, four spoke alloys, each spoke dished back (and painted), with ground fronts. Seem to remind me of fiesta 1.3 supasport /Mk1 XR2 era. Let me know if this sounds about right, and I'll see what I can dig up. Don't ask for it, but a digi photo might be possible after weekend.
