As an alternative to dry sumping, Stuart Taylor Motorsport are now offering billet sumps for Fireblades. Luke Beaumont Posted March 19, 2003 Share Posted March 19, 2003 Height is certainly an issue, and the sump plug arrangement is just about as bad as it can be for a car. I believe it is designed to go some way to addressing surge though, with the central chamber machined in. They modify your oil pickup to fit on an exchange basis. Obv. dry sump rules, but when I rebuild the 'blade I was going to give one of these a try 'cos I'm just poor white trash 😬 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not worth dry sumping a Fireblade really - they don't seem to suffer, and the cost of a dry sump system is almost the cost of two replacement engines.
