R500 DURATEC - IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS

Until now I have used conventional NGK BR7EFS plugs in my Duratec R500 but around two years ago I bought (but didn't fit) a set of NGK's iridium plugs, based on a recommendation from someone (and I can't remember who!).  The new iridium plugs are type BR7EIX.

Any comments on guidance on the Iridium plugs for this application?  I'd feel happier if, before fitting them, I could recall who recommended them as the correct type for this engine but hopefully there will some appropriate wisdom here to help me out.  Basically, should I or shouldn't I?

With the 'standard' BR7EFS plugs I run them at around 0.95mm.

So if the view is that the Iridium plugs are fine to try (no-one is saying "don't do it"), should I stay with the same gap?
