Tonmawrie
£600 seem reasonable?
7_Malc
Seems expensive… The age of the tyres will be a key factor - what's the date stamp on them? 14" wheels are less popular now as the range of tyres made to fit them is shrinking.
Tonmawrie
Fair comment, try £500.00 then
7_Malc
It really does depend on the age of the tyres. Without the date stamp data, readers might assume they were old and need to be replaced.Sevens and Classics sell these wheels refurbished "as new", so that would be a good indication of market value (per wheel). Roadsport06
There is a four digit tyre age code is usually located in a box on the tyre sidewall. The first two digits of the code are the week of production during the year. The second two digits represent the year of manufacture. Eg 0614 would be Mid Feb 2014. The tyres could be much older than the date the car was registered.
Tonmawrie
Is it normal practice for Caterham to sell cars with old tyres on? I ll check the code and update.
