What Brand of Engine Oil for Sigma 1.6

Hi Folks

I have been using the recommended Ford F 5w 30 in my 2011 Ford Sigma 1.6 Engine, I have

previously bought it on Amazon for about £24, this year it is the same price plus £15 delivery!!!

All I am looking for is a good recommended fully synthetic replacement, and would be grateful

for the advice

I use Millers because that is what Northhampton Motorsport recommended when they did my rolling road. HWR swears by Royal Purple, Caterham used to recommend Comma (not sure what they do now...?) - I think you are going to get several different opinions on this! Good Luck deciding

We all have our own preferences on oils, so long as it meets the spec your not going to go far wrong, bear in mind the Ford F is designed for fuel economy - not always a high priority for our cars.

There are lots of sellers of ebay offering 5, 10 or 20Ltr packs too, we would normally be changing the oil on a far far more frequent basis than in a tin top too.

All the above are great as are Castrol, Mobil & Exol, and many many more,

I use Exol 10w/60 in my Duratec and the same brand in our tintops too and have done for the last 15 years.

My Sigma has done 42,000 miles using Mobil 1 5w30. Still runs well and doesn't use any oil, I drive it quite hard and do a couple of track sessions a year.

Yes DJ i looked at getting Mobile 1 . Then saw a tag on the car saying Castrol, so looked at what was  about; Bought 5l of Castrol Edge Professional Longlife 5w 30. From ebay at discounted price ....I think ...  £32 incl post).  It's a Vw dealership in Lancs selling stock. 

I also saw Fuch Titan ?  very very reasonably priced , though not sure what its like.
