Richard_420R
Hi, can't find an answer to this. I assume that the car is quicker with doors on given increased turbulence and drag. Is that the accepted truth? Has anyone tried to measure it?
Tom_Arundel
And quicker still with the hood up.....if you can keep it up....but who wants to! Aero and tonneau are best
ScottR400D
First track day I did I had the screen on. Awful without doors, lots of buffetting but really aeroscreen is only way to go on track.
Roy Blyth
I think it depends on what you're doing. I would say doors off at Curborough, but definitely doors on at Goodwood! Curborough is relatively short and low speed (but not that low! ), whereas a track like Goodwood is long and fast.My first sprint at Goodwood I did with the doors off and finished the lap with my eyeballs still rattling around in my head with the buffeting - never again! Curborough is different as you need to get yer elbows out and muscle the car around
Richard_420R
Thanks all - I found the turbulence pretty bad with doors off at Blyton so assume it is slower ... even though it kinda feels faster Need to get comfortable I can switch aero and windscreen around quickly and easily before I go that route - I am surprising myself how much I'm enjoying my time on the road and don't really want to use a helmet for all trips... ScottR400D
Once the aero screen is fitted, with captive nuts, it’s really only a few minutes to swap either wayDisconnect the heated screen wires, pull the wipers and 4 bolts out and back.
