Richard_420R
Does anyone know the paint code for Argos Orange?Rich.
Jonathan Kay
I hadn't heard of it and can't find a reference in the archives.Suggestion that the Caterham press car is a Lamborghini colour, in which case it might be here.Recent discussion of oranges, with hints on matching in my postscript.Jonathan

Richard_420R
Thanks - so looks like we're saying it is same spec as the Lambo paint - "LAMBOR-0117 - PPG code : 0117" ?Rich.

elie boone
If you would look at any car paint manufacture the the Lamborghini code 0117 should give you Arancio Argos

WB7
My car is also Arancio Argos.Because i plan to put a 620 nose on it, i also needed the paint code. But be careful... there are 2 specs out there. The ones that are painted by TSK have a different brand and code than the ones that are painted by CC now. Give Tony from TSK a call, he found out that my car was painted by CC.CC uses "Spies Hecker" paint, and the code for Arancio Argos is "CAT 402 SH". Hope that helps.regards,Wim
Richard_420R
Thanks for the tip Wim. I can't find a code like this on the Chipex site so for now I've gone with the Lambo colour 0117 and will see how close it is. I am only doing a couple of really small touch ups so hopefully it will be close enough.Rich.
WB7
Hi Richard,Be carefull... Tony from TSK told me that the 2 paint codes will look different! Although they are both called "Arancio Argos", they can not be combined. Therefor he looked up if my chassis nr was painted by TSK or by Caterham, and so he found out what paint code i would need.FYI, Tony told me that there might be a chance that he would also switch to this Caterham paint brand at some time...Good luck with the rework.Wim
elie boone
It doesn't matter what the paint supplier is the colour must be the same, however for this colour there is a B variant this means there is a bluer version of the std colour. edit to say it's a 2C but you need a red primer if you use Sikkens paint.
