mikecocker
It's interesting that Hugh Chambers is introducing "a number of changes to reduce hidden costs and increase accessibility for competitors", but seemingly at the cost of speed competitors. Last years licence fee £46, this year £69. That's a nice round 50% ffs
Leadership Team 700newtons Posted November 18, 2019 Leadership Team Share Posted November 18, 2019 At the start of the letter it sounded like it was going to be cheaper!

AG2728
What is the difference between RS inter club and RS National? Which one replaces the non-race National B for 2020?
mikecocker
RS Inter Club is the new non race National BI'm guessing RS National is the old National A
Comp Sec
Correct, RS Interclub is the minimum requirement for our events, as suspected they have also aligned the permit fee's for events so the Curborough permit fee has gone up by just under £10 per competitor. Drumster
Looks like I'll be downgrading...I only had the National A so I could take part in the main event (as opposed to the members handicap) at the Brighton Speed Trials. Handicap was Nat B 1 practice and 1 timed and main event was Nat A 1 practice 2 timed split into 13 classes.Brighton & Hove Motor Club have basically said that as so many people complained about the increase in the old Nat A licence that the event was in danger of collapsing. So they've announced today that they're scrapping the old format and the whole event will be one practice and two timed runs for everybody. That in turn means restricting the numbers. It will be interesting to see how much the event entry fee rises to cover fewer entrants.
