johnpbransfield
Having to replace two headlight lenses......got them apart OK but how do you get the three retaining springs/clips back in that hold the lenses in place? Any advice much appreciated. After 4 hours and a little brute force the first light is done. Many thanks for all the advice.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted November 16, 2019 Member Share Posted November 16, 2019 You're not alone. Multiple reports in the archives of this being difficult. And I don't think that there's a magic trick beyond "... may need pliers".But then sometimes knowing that you're not missing anything helps in keeping trying......Are the new identical to the old?Jonathan
SM25T
Put one leg under rim. Hold the other with long nose pliers and feed it under. Keep hold of the middle of the clip at all times. Recommend safety glasses.
Blue C7
Before you start tie a length of string to the clip then if it tries to fly away no searching for it
