ECR
I have a fuel supply problem which looks very much like rubbish in the fuel tank surrounding the sock filter on the fuel pump. It could well be that cleaning all out will solve it but I may well need to swap out the pump. I have an aftermarket replacement pump unit as below From Merlin Motorsort Land Rover Fuel pump. Suitable for LANDROVER LSE 4.2 Year : 92-94 Engine code : .O/E pump no. : 06443228.Manufactured as:FSE In Tank fuel pump for LANDROVER LSE 4.2 - Year 92-94 Model No : ITP101 I seem to recall that the wiring on this pump needs swapping over in some way before fitting to ensure correct rotation)?), can anyone confirm this

ECR
Pendennis has confirmed that with the aftermarket pump, the connections on the pump need swapping over in order to achieve the correct flow direction. Be aware that the two push on connections are different sizes so you should have spares available for the swap over. Pump photo below.I'm fitting to a VX 2.0 but the same will apply for K R500 I imagine
