finmac
Winter project. Think I will strip the front end down and get the wishbones/wings stays blasted and repowder coated.Any advice or handy tips to make the job easier in terms of removal and subsequent rebuild/reset up etc please? David Brown
If you need a tool to break the taper joint on the top ball joint I have one (in Glasgow). I'm probably just going to rub them down in situ and apply POR15 and top coat.
SM25T
If the top wishbone ball joint is the same arrangement as other 7s, you can split the taper joint easily with a nut and bolt.
David Brown
Not necessarily easily. Worked on my previous car but nut stripped without moving the taper on current car. Tool from Dave Gemzoe did the trick.
