I use BT Yahoo webmail (not the greatest webmail service, I'd agree) on Win 8.1 and Win 10 PCs, with no spam filters operating.The problem first appeared a month or so ago. (And I received no notifications following the responses here, either)ETA: Well, you were right all along, JK! I've just delved a bit deeper and these notifications were indeed being treated as spam.
