paisesmediterraneos
Hello, I am David from Spain, I finally bought a pair of second hand wind deflectors. I have a doubt about the position of the hinges. I was looking the photos of Caterhams and in some of them the hinges are in the outer side of the deflectors and in some of them the hinges are in the inner side of the deflectors...wich one is the right position??.hinges in the outer side of the deflectorhinges in the inner side of the deflector Regards, David. SM25T
I would think hinge outside gives the best overlap between stanchion and deflector. Try both ways and test for yourself.
Ian B
Hi David,If the hinges are on the outside you can modify the wind deflectors to stick out more by heating and increasing the bend at the bottom. If the hinges remain fitted on the inside then you need to dremel long notches in the perspex near the hinge to allow them to lift off.
